ANEMOMETER SMIE AN41

Anemometer especially designed for the crane driver comprising :

In the cabin :
The display unit RAN41 with double reading (digital and bargraph) indicates the instantaneous wind speed.
Two wind speed level thresholds are provided: pre-alarm and alarm with visual and acoustic signals.
As standard, the thresholds are programmed to 50 km/h (14m/s) for the pre-alarm and 72 km/h (20m/s) for the alarm.
The display can be fixed, optionally, on an articulated support, more optimal positioning within the driver's field of view.

At the top (head) of the crane :
The transmitter TR41 with plastic support and 3-cup system adequate for seaside environment.

Outside, usually near the cabin :
The signalling box KS41 warns the workers on the site of the presence or imminence of a dangerous wind. It comprises two flashing lights, orange for the pre-alarm and red, plus a powerful siren, for the alarm.

Note :
The three components, display unit (RAN41) + transmitter (TR41) + signalling box (KS41), correspond to the current regulation requirement (dated 15/11/95) in France.

The whole device is very easy to install, all cables being equipped with industrial connectors.

Repeater :
A repeater unit can be added through the use of the connecting bror (NBRR41) and the connecting plug (NRR41M05) and either a RAN41 or RAN10 unit.

ANEMOMETER SMIE AN10

Simple accurate and competitive the SMIE AN10 is portable, powered by two standard 1,5V batteries (type AA).

The RAN10 display unit indicates on a three digit LCD display the wind speed in km/h, mph or m/s (to be specified).

The transmitter TR41, identical and compatible with the one of the RAN41, is designed with a plastic support and 3-cup system adequate for seaside environment.

Note :
The display unit has a magnet on the reverse side and can be fixed on any metallic surface, sheltered from rain.

RL10: RADIO TRANSMISSION FOR ANEMOMETERS

In order to answer to the applications where the difficulties on the construction site or the machine do not allow to bind the point of measure of the anemometric sensor to its operation point, SMIE developed the RL10, radio transmission for SMIE anemometers AN41 and AN10.

The information is transmitted to the machine's driver but can also arrive in the site's manager office (range 400 m).

The RL10 concerns several equipments types thanks to its simplicity of installation and use, its reliability and the savings it generates : tower cranes (especially those supplied with a collector which necessitate a repeater on the ground), telescopic or lattice cranes, hanging basket, working platform for cleaning, etc.

BAL R10: ANEMOMETER FOR MOBILE CRANES

SMIE offers an anemometer specifically studied for mobile cranes. Its assets:
• No wire for a minimum time installation, thanks to the radio transmission
• A gravity swinging mount keeps the sensor straight whatever the angle of the lifting machine's jib can be.

Another advantage will be that the crane's driver is not the only one which can consult the wind speed since it is possible to install, with the same simplicity, a repeater in another place of the construction site (range 400 m).

WIND SPEED RECORDER E 5210

With the wind speed recorder E5210 one can at a glance review clearly and simply a recording on paper of the wind speed during the last six hours (on one month paper-rolls).

The wind speed recorder is the natural accessory to the Anemometers RAN41 or AN10. The material proof provided of the past weather conditions can be a precious element to document any site stoppage due to the wind force.

The wind speed recorder E5210 can also be used to forecast a tendency towards bad wind conditions, by viewing the recorded curve, for planning difficult or sensitive lifting operations. The crane's work will be better adapted to upcoming weather conditions with real time efficiency.

SMIE WIND SPEED ALARMS

There are three models in our new offering, the purpose of which is to warn the crane operator and construction site with an intermittent signal when the wind speed reaches 50 km/h, and with a continuous signal when the wind speed reaches 70 Km/h or 72 km/h, as the case may be.

These signals can be visual (orange and red flashing lights) and/or acoustic (siren).

The low-end product, KSANS, consists of a wind speed sensor and a siren which sounds intermittently at 50 km/h, then continuously at 70 km/h or 72 km/h (as the case may be).

The mid-range product, KSANO, includes an additional orange flashing light.

The high-end, KSANE, informs the crane operator when the 50 km/h level is reached with an orange flashing light, then at 70 or 72 km/h, with a red flashing light and a continuous siren.

Complying with technical requirements, these simple-to-use-and-install products contribute to construction site safety and information.
